Steve Spurlin, M.T.S., D.T.S., Ph.D., is the teaching pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church in Lubbock, TX, and Dean of the Tyndale Theological Seminary Learning Center there. He is also the worship leader.
Steve formerly served as pastor of Viola First Baptist Church of Viola, AR, before moving to Texas. His seminary training was at Tyndale Seminary, under the mentoring of its founder, Dr. Mal Couch, as well as Dr. Christopher Cone, founder and president of Agathon University of Applied Faith, Dr. Robert Lightner of Dallas Theological Seminary, with further PhD studies at Calvary University, Kansas City, MO. He also has undergraduate degrees in Music and Psychology from Williams Baptist College of Walnut Ridge, AR.

His writings have been featured at bibleprophecyblog.com, and he has written chapters for several books, including Practical Aspects of Pastoral Theology (Tyndale Seminary Press), Evangelical Bible Doctrine: Essays in Honor of Dr. Mal Couch (Scofield Seminary Press), and The Green Tree and the Hermeneutic Roots of Biblical Faith and Practice (Exegetica Publishing).
His areas of study include biblical and systematic theology, apologetics, worldview, and philosophy (a new area for him), Hermeneutics, bibliology, eschatology, church history, and other religions.
